Day 1: On Monday 29 of February all the year 6/7 and some of the year 5 went to aquatics at Port Noarlunga beach. We all chose what we wanted to learn there was wave skiing, body boarding, surfing, fishing, snorkelling and sail boarding.
The first activity I did was body boarding (aka) bogie boarding. There were 7 people in our group there was Lili, Lilia, Skye, Leonora, Emily, Erini and myself.
We did bogie boarding straight after we got there our instructor was called Brook and we had to put our soggy wetsuits on and it smelled like salty water before we even wore it, also after we had to walk a long way to our bogie boards and it took about 10 minutes till we got there. After we got there we grabbed our bogie boards and we walked were the waves were coming the most, but they weren’t very big they were like 1 big wave separated into little waves.
We had about 45 minutes to do every activity because at the end we had to go on the reef walk, after bogie boarding was over we put the boards back and walked back. By the time we got there it was half way past recess so we quickly grabbed our recess and sat down for about 2 minutes which wasn’t very long. After recess we had our next activity which was, wave skiing it was very fun until we went deeper and deeper. Our instructors name was he was a bit grumpy and he was bad at telling jokes, in my group was all my friends there was Anisa, Niki, Skye, Leonora, Emily, Erin and myself.
We headed down to the beach and luckily the wave skiing boards wasn’t far as the bogie boards, we took our boards and headed into the water, It was scary at first but the I got used to it but I loved aquatics thanks instructors ,thanks teachers and thanks Mr Marshall for letting us go to aquatics.
But should be improved is that we should go to aquatics for at least 1 week, me time I will try snorkelling and bogie boarding, the challenging thing for me was wave skiing when we went into the deep end, we went up to the reef it was scary but fun.
